Overview

Building Bridges of Integration for Traditional Chinese Medicine: A Landmark Conference on Immune Disorders, Cancer, Pain, Mental Health, and Addictions gathers the most respected scholars, teachers, practitioners, authors, and institutions -- from China and the United States -- to exchange the latest knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) with the United States healthcare community.

One of the oldest holistic medical systems in the world, TCM has been practiced, studied and researched for more than 5,000 years. Hospitals and clinics throughout China have successfully integrated Western and traditional Chinese medicine to help patients heal from a wide range of conditions and diseases for more than 100 years. Building Bridges will help provide healthcare practitioners with the philosophical understanding and practical skills they need to integrate TCM into their daily work with patients in the West.

Conference Aims

  • To provide in-depth research on and knowledge of the centuries-old efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for health conditions that affect Western populations.

  • To create a venue for productive dialogue and exchange between TCM experts and Western healthcare practitioners.

  • To offer contemporary healthcare practitioners TCM principles, theories, techniques, case studies, and research results as well as practical ways to apply this healing knowledge in their current practice.

  • To raise awareness and implementation of traditional Chinese medicine in the United States to a higher level by providing first-rate information about integrating TCM and Western medicine.

  • To promote TCM as the premier choice for complementary medicine.
